Getting to know your hair and scalp specialist

Jodie Siberini-Wilkins

To kick off the blog, we would love to introduce you to our Founder and Head Hair and Scalp Specialist Jodie.

How long have you been hairdressing for?
I started my hairdressing career 7 years ago. Since then I’ve done everything from colouring, cutting, hair and scalp treatments, to assisting the management team in running the salon.

What made you interested in helping people with their hair and scalp difficulties?
While working in the salon we used an amazing product brand called Philip Kingsley. Getting to know the brand and Phillip’s ethos made me instantly want to know more about hair and scalp health. Attending a course at his clinic in Mayfair London completely changed my outlook on hair.

Where did you learn about hair loss and wellbeing?
I have always had an interest in nutrition and general wellbeing. I completed a short nutrition course with the College Of Naturopathic Medicine, and then began studying Trichology. I attend regular courses and seminars with up to date research on hair loss. I spend a lot of my time listening to podcasts and reading books to help expand my knowledge.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?
I love that I can make an impact on each client’s day and make them love their hair again.

What do you get up to when you’re not working?
I enjoy cycling, travelling, reading and cooking. I have four nieces who I love spending time with.

What’s next in your career?
I’m looking forward to being able to use my knowledge to help clients have healthy beautiful hair again. I’m going to be attending courses to learn more about wig cutting/care to enable me to help clients with any struggles they may have.
