Prevent sunburn on your scalp
Just like your skin, your scalp can also get sunburnt so it’s important to protect it. Avoid the sun between 11-3 and when possible keep your head covered with a hat. If you do have a sensitive or red scalp after a day in the sun apply a scalp mask to soothe your scalp.
Prevent the damaging effects of the sea and pool
To help avoid the damaging effects of the sun, chlorinated and salty water, apply a water-resistant mask before heading into the sea or pool. This mask is also great for blondes as it helps prevent hair from turning green in the pool!
Drink plenty of water and eat watery foods such as watermelon and cucumber.
Spending time in the sun can cause hair to feel drier than usual, use a pre-shampoo treatment weekly to keep your hair nourished and hydrated.
Wash away the nasties
Shampoo your hair at the end of each day to wash away salt, chlorine and sweat etc. This can prevent your scalp from feeling oily and your hair from feeling dry.
